What is Physical Therapy?
Physical Therapy: therapy for the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and physical function impaired or threatened by disability, injury, or disease that utilizes therapeutic exercise, physical modalities (as massage and electrotherapy), assistive devices, and patient education and training. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
Our therapists provide all of the above services, but we go far beyond that. In an environment that is encouraging and caring, we allow you to do your best work to get back--or even exceed--your previous physical status. The goal in all cases is independence, so that you can continue on the road to full recovery and maintain the results you achieved in our clinic. Education is an important piece to this goal. Our therapists get to know you and the best way you learn, whether that is visually, through demonstrations, hands-on corrections, pictures, or whatever else works for you!
While we are an outpatient orthopedic clinic, we specialize in performing arts medicine, lymphedema treatment and scoliosis as well.
