New Patients

Callan-Harris Physical Therapy, PC, is a therapist owned, orthopedic clinic in Rochester, NY. We treat all orthopedic conditions, from foot and ankle pain to headaches and neck pain, and everything in between. We specialize in:

  • Performing Arts Medicine
  • Lymphedema and post-surgical breast cancer therapy
  • Scoliosis

Our clinic is set up so that your appointment is yours; your therapist works with you and you alone during your treatment time. We have eight individual treatment rooms, not tables separated by curtains, so you are assured of privacy, and your therapist's full attention.

Conveniently located in the Neighborhood of the Arts, our clinic has been thoughtfully designed to allow our patients to feel welcome. Our caring environment encourages patients to do their best work in a positive atmosphere.

Our gym space includes equipment similar to what you would find at your fitness center and much of what you have at home, so you can easily continue with your exercise program on your own. Our goal is to return to you to your previous level of activity, and allow you to grow beyond it if you desire.

Clinic Policies

  • If you are running 10 or more minutes late for your appointment, we may have you reschedule so as not to put the therapist behind in their schedule.

  • Our practice requires a 24-hour notice for all cancellations. If a scheduled appointment must be cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, there will be a charge equal to your co-payment (or a fee of $20.00 if your insurance does not require a co-payment for visits to a specialist). If you do not show up for your appointment, the same charge will be applied. We are holding the time spot for you and may be able to give the time to another patient who has requested a visit.

  • Should you miss or cancel more than 3 appointments with less than 24 hours notification, we will no longer schedule your appointments in advance. You may call on the day you would like to be seen to inquire if any appointments are available.

  • If your insurance requires prior authorization, you need to be sure that you it in place prior to your visit. When your authorization runs out, you may be liable for full payment if your insurance company denies the visit. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to speak with or visit your physician for prior authorizations. While our office cannot get the prior authorization for you, we can get additional visits on a referral already in place up to the maximum visits allowed on it.)

  • There will be a $5 charge for any bill that needs to be mailed to you for payment on your account, so please stop at the desk to take care of your co-pays when you arrive at the office.

  • If you are not sure of your co-pay amount, we will charge $20 at the time of service and adjust after insurance remittance.

  • If you need to bring a child to your treatment with you, he/she must remain in the room with you at all times. If the child becomes disruptive, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment so that the therapist can focus on your care without either of you being distracted. Older children may sit quietly in the waiting room with a book or game, etc.
  • Our office phone is not for personal use, so please do not ask our personnel if you may make a call.

  • We ask that you not talk on your cell phone in the waiting area as it disturbs other patients and makes it difficult for our personnel to communicate with patients in the waiting area.

  • For the comfort of others, please do not wear perfume/cologne to your visit.

Thank you for helping us to keep things running smoothly.
